He began his career in city planning and has a combined 29 years of facilities planning and design and construction experience in public and private universities and community colleges. Alejandra Perez-Serrato is an urban planner and a Long Beach native. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Alejandra’s focus is on issues related to community organizing and grassroot/social equity initiatives.

Myles Salazar is a designer from La Verne, California. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Design from California State University, Long Beach in 2016 and has been working in the architectural lighting & manufacturing industry for the past five years. Myles enjoys outdoor activities, talking with college students about design, and work crafting in his spare time.

Ronnell Hampton has over 15 years of Policy and DEIJ experience. He is the Principal Equity Strategist at the LA Civil Rights Department with the City of Los Angeles, a Professor in Landscape Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona With a comprehensive background spand the Owner of Growing Greatness Now, a Policy & Urban Design Consulting Firm. Ronnell's work focuses on developing processes and frameworks in policy and urban design that achieve equity in stakeholder management and outcomes.

In 2017, Ronnell founded Growing Greatness Now Policy & Urban Design Consulting. Over five years, it has grown from a one-person operation to a growing team of staff and interns. Growing Greatness Now has completed 15+ Urban Beautification Projects, 24+ DEIJ & Conflict Management Training, and over $16 Billion in State legislative advocacy wins for Child Support, Criminal Justice Fines & Fees. Ronnell's advocacy in state legislation addresses extractive wealth practices targeting economically disadvantaged communities throughout the state of California.

Ronnell holds a Master's in Urban Sustainability from Antioch University, a Bachelor's in Negotiation Conflict Resolution & Peace-building from CSU Dominguez Hills, an Associate in Architecture Drafting & Design from Long Beach City College, and a Certification in Workplace Equity from Harvard University, Cambridge.

ecializing in retail agency leasing and tenant representation, Yansy holds a thorough understanding of the elements critical to the effective leasing of an asset, and, furthermore, to fulfilling clients’ goals and objectives. Prior to joining Avison Young, Yansy worked at Secured Properties as a Senior Associate, where she focused on retail and agency tenant representation with a market concentration from Downtown Los Angeles to West Los Angeles. She also previously worked at Colliers International for three years, where she was a team manager on a five-person retail leasing & investment team with listings throughout Los Angeles. Before Colliers, Yansy worked as a Marketing Manager for seven years on a team of 20 brokers at Lee & Associates, where she was responsible for drafting AIR leases, proposals, while providing excellent marketing direction and producing collateral which includes brochures and presentations.
